ROTHESAY’S Christmas lights will be switched on at Guildford Square on Wednesday, December 7 at 4pm.
The big switch-on is organised this year by the Rothesay Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) project, and will coincide with a THI update which will be held in the Community Links shop in Guildford Square.
This year’s event will see the return of the best dressed window display presentation and there will be carol singing and a lantern parade from 3pm.
The Rothesay THI project is part of an effort to regenerate the Bute economy and has accessed funding for a number of shop and business owners in the town centre area to carry out repair and maintenance works on buildings most in need.
The THI project will also be holding a maintenance awareness event in Deanhood Place Church Hall on November 18 from 1pm until 6pm. There will be guest speakers at 3pm and 5.15pm.
